The association promotes youth welfare, health, assistance for victims of crime, equality, and crime prevention. It also supports people who need physical, mental, or emotional help.
Another focus is the development and support of projects that offer children, young people, and women protection, support, and psychological and social counseling—especially in cases of sexual or other violence.
Relevant objectives in this regard are, in particular:
- Protection of children, young people, and women from sexual exploitation and violence
- Combating sexual exploitation of children and young people and other forms of violence
- Educational and support measures to curb HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases
- Implementation of protective measures for victims of forced prostitution and violence against children and young people, including the operation of a shelter and counseling on personal, medical, legal, social, and economic issues
- Long-term care and support for victims and assistance with the aim of reintegrating and repatriating victims into the social structures of their countries of origin, where possible
- Operation of a baby hatch and an emergency hotline for mothers
- Provision of an emergency hotline and counseling center for prostitutes of all nationalities
- Combating racist and sexist discrimination, as well as commitment to eliminating gender- or origin-based discrimination and promoting equality between women and men
- Combating forced prostitution, human trafficking, sexual exploitation of children and young people, and other forms of violence through educational public awareness and lobbying
- Offering assistance and cooperating with authorities, governmental and non-governmental organizations at regional, national, and international level
- Promoting a culture of “looking” with regard to forced prostitution and violence against women, children, and young people, as well as supporting civil courage and social work
- Selflessly supporting victims of violence and forced prostitution who, due to their physical, mental, or emotional condition as a result of their abuse, are at least temporarily unable to lead an independent life
